Happy American Thanksgiving :-)

I am very happy to be watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this morning. Last year I wasn't able to but since I am at Shane's parents' house this morning I can. Last night Shane's mom and I started preparing for the Thanksgiving dinner by making some desserts. We made cranberry-pineapple upside down cake (gluten free...mmmm) and a cheesecake.  I will be making the rest of the dinner while everyone else is at work. Then we will have supper before church.

Like Shane said on his blog, this week is our Vision Conference. It started last night and ends Saturday night. He explains it on his blog, so you should go read about it. Dr Forney is preaching/teaching and already it has been great! Shane and his dad are leading music. Here's a picture I took.

Happy Thanksgiving!
P.S. I am 38 weeks!

This is me and my pregnant friends, Christine and Holly. I am not sure how far along Christine is but I know Holly is due in January.
This is the blanket that I made for my baby. My mom helped me make it.Although it is not perfect, I am proud of it.

Home Sweet Home

I am back in Inuvik as of Monday. Shane will be here Friday. I am staying at Shane's parents house. We are going to stay here until we have the baby...which is 3 weeks away...but hopefully less. But we decided not to go back to Aklavik after the baby. We figure it will be better just to settle down. So that is what we are going to do.

I don't really have much else to post...I will get up some pictures soon.

Fall Harvest Party

Here are a few photos from the Harvest Party that we had last Saturday

Like Shane was saying on his blog, baby is not far away. I am 35 weeks now and baby is getting harder and harder to carry around. I would like for baby to wait to come until we are in Inuvik...but once we are there I want him to come as soon as possible! Ha, I wish it were that easy. I have at least one more appointment with the midwife here next week. I will probably also see her a couple days before we go back to Inuvik. So far everything has been right on schedule as far as baby's developement and such. So, we will see how much longer he makes us wait!

Pictures

The first 4 pictures are of the potluck dinner we had at our house for Thanksgiving. It wasn't actually on Thanksgiving, but it was for Thanksgiving.

This is our house

This was taken from my living room window. You can see the river beginning to freeze, fog laying over the mountains and a glimpse of the sun. I thought it was a pretty combination.

And then of course, my belly. This was taken last Saturday I think...so I was 33 weeks then but I am 34 weeks now.

Aero Bar

Mmmm...I am eating a chocolate Aero bar and it is yummy. I haven't had one in a long time.

Well, not much new has been going on. We had a potluck dinner at our house last weekend. That was fun and it went well. Next Saturday is our Harvest Party at church. We will have games and food so it should be fun :-)

I meant to post another picture of my ever growing belly, but I forgot. I am now 33 weeks and baby feels so big! He/she hates it whenever anything is on my belly. Whether it is me leaning against the counter when I am washing dishes, or resting a plate on my belly when I am eating, or Shane's head leaning against my belly...he pushes it until I move it.

Inuvik for the Weekend

We made it safely to Inuvik last night. We got in around 5:30 pm. The plane ride was nice...I got to see 3 moose out on the land as we flew over. That was neat.

Well, I don't really have a lot to post except that Mrs Hitchens gave me a recipe for sweet potato casserole and I am really excited about trying it this weekend for Thanksgiving. I think Shane is even more excited about it then I am...he had it at the Hitchen's a couple years ago and still remembers it. So it must be good.

Here is a picture Shane took of me last night. I am 31 weeks along.
