Cow

I found this picture on the Victorious Valley website and I thought it was really pretty.

Notice the cow lying down?

Fruit to Go

Well, I am sitting here eating a fruit-to-go. It's sorta like a fruit leather. They're yummy so I eat them a lot.

I joined a running group last week. We walk for 5 minutes then jog for one then walk for one then jog for one then walk for one for 5 times then we jog for 2 minutes then walk for 2 minutes 2 times then walk the rest of the way back. It is up and down hills, too, which makes it a little more difficult. It is pretty challenging for me but I enjoy it.

Not really sure what else is going on...it was getting warmer but then it snowed last Wednesday and hasn't really warmed up much since then. But just about all the snow is off the ground. I haven't seen Inuvik without snow on the ground since October! Now it is basically brown from the dust and mud but hopefully soon I will start to see a little green.

Well, I can't think of anything else.

Not much new

I haven't really got much to post about. Shane and I were supposed to visit Aklavik this past weekend but it's getting too warm and we didn't want to risk the ice road closing while we were over there. I am not sure if it did close or not, but I know it was awfully wet. We have been having such nice and warm days lately. Friday Shane and I went on a walk with Angie down by the river. It was so muddy! I was the only one wearing rubber boots so Shane and Angie had to be careful where they were walking while I splashed through all the mud puddles. It was a nice walk except my toes got a little sore cause my boots are a little too small. So yesterday Shane bought me new rubber boots. They fit pretty well and the tread is better so I won't slip as easily on the slippery, melting ice. I don't really know if I was supposed to use a comma there or not. So anyways...that's all for now.

New Pics

Shane and Tyra playing with bubbles at a wedding reception in Aklavik this past weekend.
Taken from the Ice Road. The sun is setting right over Aklavik.
Me with Shane's Auntie Evelyn

Addie is very serious about learning to play that recorder!

They take turns with the recorder and whistle. They are getting pretty good and playing softly and loudly.

Mr. Adams

Hey all. I am making a pair of slippers and I asked my friend Rosalee if I could buy some of her moose hide from her. So she gave me all the skin that I needed and told me she would let me know how much it costs. Well tonight I asked her if she decided how much she wanted for all the skin I used. She said that she asked her husband what he wanted me to pay and he said there is nothing more valuable to him than prayer. He said that all he wanted for the skins (which are expensive) is prayer. He is very sick and has been out of church for years because of it. So I decided I would ask everyone to pray for Mr Adams.
